Double promotion for HiB directors

Bathroom product manufacturer HiB has promoted two of its longest-serving employees to directors.

Brothers Neil (pictured left) and Richard Berry (right) have been appointed operations director and logistics director respectively.

Both have worked for the company for almost 20 years and HiB said the promotions were the latest example of its investment in staff progression and development.

Neil Berry said: “When I first started at HiB, there were just three people working in the warehouse and I was responsible for picking and packing orders, unloading deliveries and other general duties.

“The company has grown enormously since then – we now have a team of 60 in the warehouse, and pack around 11,000 orders a month, compared with 500 in 1997. Prior to my recent promotion, I was working as warehouse manager, and with my move to operations director, I am now responsible for the smooth running of the distribution centre – it’s been an incredible journey.”

Richard Berry added: “I’m approaching my 20th anniversary at HiB – and what a journey it’s been. I’m thrilled to have been a part of HiB since the beginning and to have grown with the company as it has blossomed into the amazing success it is today. As logistics director, I’m now responsible for all transport and purchasing, and I take huge pride in that.

“It’s been fantastic to see our hard work help transform HiB into a leading bathroom furniture brand. I’m as excited as ever to see where HiB goes next – the sky’s the limit.”

Robert Ginsberg, managing director at HiB, commented: “We believe that nurturing our staff is absolutely key to the success of HiB, and it is fantastic to see long-standing employees such as Richard and Neil achieve such success. We hope to see more and more of our staff follow in their footsteps as we continue to develop as a business.”
