Dream Doors appoints ex-Cooper Callas boss Philip Carr as MD

Kitchen makeover franchise Dream Doors has appointed Philip Carr as its new managing director.

Carr (pictured right) joined the Dream Doors board last year, but prior to that he was the managing director of bathroom and kitchen distributor Cooper Callas, which went into administration in June 2016.

He brings 16 years’ industry experience to his new role.

Dream Doors founder and chairman Troy Tappenden (left) said: “Philip’s appointment is part of our long-term strategy to establish a robust management team to support our expanding network. We were delighted when Phil joined in 2017 and are extremely pleased that he has now accepted the role of MD. I and the rest of the team look forward to working with him as we continue to develop the Dream Doors brand across the UK.”

Carr commented: “I am excited about our compelling proposition and the support we provide to our franchise network. My appointment underlines the ongoing investment within the business and the opportunities we see for further expansion. I look forward to playing my part in the next phase of growth for Dream Doors.”

Bill Owen, Dream Doors franchise director, added: “Since joining the team in 2017, Phil has quickly established a clear understanding of the business and the intricacies surrounding a national franchised brand. Collectively we have formed a talented team to provide the necessary business support and insight for the coming years.”
