New editor for Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms, the best-selling consumer magazine in the sector and sister title to kbbreview, has a new editor.

Lindsay Blair (pictured), who is currently the magazine’s features editor, will take over the role from Ruth Bell at the start of April.

Before joining Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms last year, Blair held various roles at Real Homes.

“I’m absolutely delighted to be the new editor at Kitchens Bedrooms & BathroomsIt’s the best magazine in the sector and it’s a real honour to take the helm at a very exciting time,” Blair said. “We have a fresh new design and editorial style that we’re introducing in our April issue that builds on all the aspects that have made it so successful for nearly 30 years. Plus we’ve got big plans for building the digital side so I can’t wait to get started.”

Bell, who has been at Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms for 13 years, seven as editor, is leaving to start a creative agency.

“It’s been a really difficult decision to leave Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms, as I’m so proud of it and everything we’ve achieved in securing our position as the market leading title in the sector,” she said. “But it’s time for a new challenge and I’m very happy to hand over the reins to Lindsay, who I know will do an amazing job.”

Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms is now also available in over 500 Marks & Spencer stores across the UK – dwarfing the presence of any other kitchen or bathroom magazines – adding to its existing premium distribution in Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, WH Smith and a network of independent retailers.

“We’re making significant investment in all aspects of Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms,” said Taylist Media owner Patrick Taylor. “Lindsay will head up an already fantastic editorial team that embodies our absolute commitment to unique, informed and relevant content. But we’re also building the distribution to make sure that the most engaged readers can get it whenever they want it. We’re also investing substantially in the digital side of the brand and we’ll see that come to fruition later in the year – so watch this space.

“It is, however, very sad to say goodbye to Ruth, she’s been a brilliant editor and a great ambassador for both Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms and Taylist Media as a whole. I wish her all the very best in her new endeavours.”
