BiKBBI launches insurance services

The British Institute of Kitchen, Bedroom and Bathroom Installation (BiKBBI) has launched a new insurance service providing a wide range of commercial insurance products to the KBB industry.

Speaking to delegates at the BiKBBI’s recent annual stakeholder event, chief executive Damian Walters (pictured) announced the launch in conjunction with United Insurance Brokers (UIB) – a leading international insurance broker, in what he called “another milestone moment” for the organisation.

BiKBBI Insurance Services, which is accessible on its website [www.bikbbi.org.uk], offers a broad, but specialist portfolio of insurance products, discounted to its members, but also available to the wider KBB industry, including non-members.

Specifically developed for the KBB industry, the portfolio comprises public and employers’ liability cover, professional indemnity and directors’ insurance, as well as vehicle, fleet, tool, phone and breakdown cover. The new insurance services also provide private medical cover, accident and sickness protection, as well as life, personal home and vehicle policies.

“Insurance is an important ingredient for any business operating in the sector and as an organisation,” Walters said. “Our policies will offer the right level of protection at competitive prices and once again, we provide this on a not-for-profit basis, passing on any cost savings directly to our members.”

The BiKBBI also unveiled industry giant Häfele UK as its latest corporate sponsor.

“Corporate sponsorship is vital to our organisation and we’re proud to be supported by a growing number of industry brands,” Walters said. “Along with our other sponsors, Häfele contributes enormously to our core pillars [education, standards and support] and allow us to develop the organisation to benefit the entire industry.”
