Changes at the top for Electrolux

Electrolux has made some key changes to its management team in Sweden.

Anna Ohlsson-Leijon has been appointed as new chief financial officer, effective April 1. She is currently CFO for major appliances Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

She succeeds Tomas Eliasson, who previously announced he was leaving the company to pursue an external opportunity.

Ola Nilsson becomes head small appliances and executive vice president, effective March 1. He is currently head of the laundry product line within major appliances EMEA.

He succeeds Henrik Bergström, who will work on a special assignment reporting to the chief executive.

Ohlsson-Leijon joined the company in 2001 as director of project management. She has held various senior management positions, including head of the group’s internal audit function from 2005, group treasurer from 2008, and head of corporate control and services from 2011. She was appointed chief financial officer of major appliances EMEA in 2013.

Nilsson joined the company in 1994 and has held various roles before moving to Asia-Pacific to become chief financial officer and later managing director of small appliances in Australia. From 2003, he held management positions in small appliances based in Stockholm, and was appointed president Asia-Pacific within the small appliances business area in 2008. He took up his present position in 2012.

President and chief executive Jonas Samuelson said: “Anna will be an excellent addition to group management, with long experience from financial functions throughout Electrolux. As CFO of major appliances EMEA, she has been responsible for driving the strategic agenda and was a key contributor to the earnings improvement of the business area.

“I am very pleased to present Ola as our new head of small appliances. He has a very good track record from running small appliances in Asia-Pacific and most recently successfully led the turn-around of our laundry business in EMEA. I also want to thank Henrik for his valuable contributions in his current role and look forward to continuing to work with him.”
