Hansgrohe up to 10th in iF ranking

Hansgrohe has moved up one place to 10th position in this year’s International Forum Design (iF) ranking, winning a total of eight individual awards.

The iF lists around 2,000 companies from around the world and is recognised internationally as a symbol of outstanding design.

The new positioning not only puts the mixer and shower manufacturer ahead of companies such as Apple, Daimler and Nike but, according to Hansgrohe, “maintains its number one position in the bathroom industry”.

Axor and Hansgrohe products received eight iF awards for outstanding design achievement, granted by an international jury of 58 experts. Among the award-winning products were the Axor One interactive shower control, the Axor ShowerSelect thermostats, the Axor Citterio Select kitchen mixer and the Hansgrohe Talis E washbasin mixer.

Philippe Grohe, vice-president of design management at Hansgrohe SE, accepted the eight iF awards in Munich on February 26. He said: “We are unbelievably proud of this top 10 position. It clearly confirms our exceptional creativity, power of innovation, customer focus, and lastly, our design philosophy of always combining the aesthetic appearance of a product with quality, ease of use, and the greatest possible benefit to our customers.

“We have consistently pursued a steady course of functional quality and good design before anyone else in our industry, and began collaborating with some of the world’s best designers, such as Philippe Starck, Antonio Citterio, Jean-Marie Massaud, Patricia Urquiola and Phoenix Design,” said Grohe. “Today we are considered trendsetters in bathroom and kitchen design, a fact also reflected by our iF ranking.”
