Ripples franchisee dies

Bathroom franchise Ripples has announced the death of Colin Payne, the owner of its Tunbridge Wells showroom.

He died suddenly aged 54.

Payne opened his Ripples showroom in 2007, following a successful period as general manager of a builders’ merchant, and would have celebrated 10 years as a franchisee next year.

A keen sportsman, in 2015 Payne joined the team at Ripples to cycle from London to Paris, raising almost £15,000 for the Sanitation First charity.

A spokesperson for Ripples said: “It is with great sadness that we let you know that Ripples are mourning the death of a franchisee and friend Colin Payne.

“Colin was loved by everyone at Ripples. Our thoughts are with his family at this deeply sad time.”
