Mereway sets sights on builder and self-build markets

Kitchen, bathroom and bedroom manufacturer Mereway Group is planning to grow its Trend Interiors brand in 2017 by taking market share away from the builder and self-build sectors.

According to the Tyseley-based company, it aims to increase turnover by 50% by providing a better product and service in the sector.

“We have ambitious plans for growth,” said sales and marketing director Graham Jones (pictured). “There is a gap in the market for a quality product and service that is affordable and easy for customers to buy via their builders and installation professionals.

“Our Trend brand offers a superior specification than other builder/DIY options currently on the market and covers, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, worktops and home media, something that is not currently available from any other company.”

Trend Kitchens was launched in 2013, and was followed by bathroom and bedrooms with media furniture and UrbanTop worktops, which were launched at KBB Birmingham in 2016.

The products are designed and manufactured across its four production sites near the Tyseley headquarters, with the company also supplying a network of 500 independent retailers.

“Trend is the first multi-channel brand to be offered at such quality and we are confident that there is demand for a better service than that which has previously been available for this sector,” he added.

“We are introducing an exciting partnership agreement, My Trend that rewards those that are displaying partners but also has discounts available for none-displaying partners.

“A new website will be launched later in the year that that will make planning and ordering online simple and stress free.”
