Norcool, the consumer refrigeration division of global company Frigoglass, has announced the appointment of Mark Phillips as the head of Norcool for the UK and Ireland. Norcool is a Scandinavian brand founded in 1978, which specialises in wine coolers and cellars.

Hansgrohe has a new area sales manager in the shape of Fletcher Gaubert. He will be responsible for the geographic regions of Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire, north London and parts of Essex. Gaubert has over six years' experience in a similar role in the shower enclosure market. "During the past six years out on the road, I have come into contact with all major bathroom brands and Hansgrohe is one of the few that I have always aspired to work for," he said. "The company has a strong reputation for quality and design, so I am delighted to be part of the team."

Slovenian appliance manufacturer Gorenje has promoted Peter Forster-Dark to the position of national sales manager for the UK and Ireland. Before this, he was the company's national account manager for the south of the UK. Now one of Forster-Dark's key responsibilities is the management of Gorenje's business with CIH/Euronics. "Gorenje is a brand that is growing exceptionally well throughout the independent retail market and the opportunities that the brand brings to the UK and Irish markets are exceptional," he said.

White goods giant Haier is targeting the UK with two senior appointments. Duan Wei (pictured), Haier Europe's former brand and marketing manager is now the market director for Haier UK & Ireland. This promotion is coupled with the recruitment of Jeff Moody as its new sales and marketing director. "Wei's considerable marketing expertise and Jeff's white goods experience will ensure that the right Haier products will be put to market in a timely fashion to meet each customer's needs and help put Haier on the UK map long-term," said Haier Europe CEO René Aubertin.
