Mark Larden is the new UK md of sanitaryware and plumbing manufacturer Geberit.

The company says Larden will be charged with leading Geberit forward in the UK and helping grow the brand as well as introducing new product into the market. His first major task will be to oversee the relocation of the Geberit head office and training centre from Kent to Warwickshire in the second half of this year.

Larden first joined the company in 2000 as product manager, followed by positions as marketing director and the sales director in 2005.

"I'm very much looking forward to leading Geberit, and its market leading products, forward in the sanitaryware, plumbing and drainage markets, and I hope to help contribute to the continuing growth and success of the company," Larden said.

"The move is a big one and has been planned and executed extremely well to ensure no disruption of service to our customers in the UK, which is paramount."

The Geberit Group has been going for 135 years and has 5,400 employees in 40 countries worldwide with sales of £1.1bn a year.
