| What about postal votes? | |
| 20 November 2009 Although we are no longer members of the KBSA we would like to comment on the matter of AGMs by saying banks vote on resolutions by post, why can't the KBSA? Retailers are very aware that during these economically troubled times, proprietors as well as managers have to devote their time to prospective customers and therefore are less likely to attend an AGM, which in some cases is miles away and therefore the journey alone is time-consuming. Reading resolutions, ticking boxes and returning these forms by post or email does not detract from dealing with customers as does attending dinners, dances and playing golf. It was more than 30 years ago that the rules of the then KSA were made. It is time for the KBSA to be updated in every respect. Uschi Quansah, JU Kitchen Consultants, London What do you think?
