Brand New York for William Wilson customers
26 February 2010

A retailer and a supplier, each with more than 100 years trading history behind them, have joined up to offer a consumer a trip to New York worth £2,500.

Ellis Furniture and Scotland-based plumbing, bathroom and heating supplier William Wilson ran a competition to name a new Ellis door.

Peter Elson, the new sales and marketing director for the bathroom and kitchen furniture division at Ellis Furniture, came up with the plan along with Scotland area sales manager Holly Barns. The wanted to strengthen their relationship with William Wilson, part of Wolseley, and its 11 stores across Scotland.

Customer Graham Marshall picked up the prize after putting forward the name 'Empire Apple'.

Peter Elson said: "Holly and I were delighted with the response we received to this competition and it has proved to be an excellent way to support and grow our relationship with William Wilson."
