Homeform demise underlines importance of independents, says Alastair Young...

I believe the Homeform Group was under the control of a bunch of 'vulture capitalists' who, as a breed, have a track record of cutting the rope without any consideration for anything other than that which is economically enforceable against them.

Consumers should be shocked, appalled and disgusted by this, but learn the lesson that independents, with a local reputation and pride, should be the provider of choice in a world overly dominated by those ill-prepared for the slowdown and hide behind spreadsheets and a profound knowledge of company law, gambling with the probability of litigation enforcement.
