Finalists revealed for kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2017

The full shortlist for the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2017 has been unveiled as the next stage of judging begins.

After yet another record number of entries, the biggest, most prestigious and longest-running awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry are set for the gala event in March when the winners will be revealed.

Familiar names such as Kitchens by JS Geddes, Kitchens International and TileStyle are joined by some new names. In particular, it’s a great year for Stone & Chrome in Camberley, as it secures three nominations in total, as does Spinks in Doncaster.

Bell Northampton also turns up in both the Kitchen Retailer of the Year and Kitchen Showroom of the Year categories for the first time.

“We were genuinely overwhelmed by the number of entries this year, especially in the retail categories, which is fantastic to see,” said kbbreview editor Tim Wallace. “The judges have been really stretched this year and it’s great to see so many confident businesses and designers doing such great work.

“I’ve never known some of these categories to be so close.”

This shortlist is just the end of the first stage of judging. The second stage in the design categories sees all the finalists come to London in February for a special presentation day where they discuss their designs directly with the judges. In the retail categories of Retailer of the Year and Showroom of the Year, to get the best understanding of how they operate, judges visit the businesses in person.

No other awards in the kitchen and bathroom industry go to these lengths to ensure the winners have earned their trophies. And, of course, all the finalists get to come to the ceremony in March for free.

For the first time in 2017, the annual kbbreview Retail & Design Conference and kbbreview Retail & Design Awards are combining in one day – March 27 – at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The conference takes place during the day and the awards in the evening, all under one roof. You can come to just the conference, just the awards or both, so for more details on booking your places, click here.
