Hettich UK has reported a 12.4% increase in sales in 2017, seeing continued growth in market share for its core hinge and drawer products.
As a group, global sales increased by 6.8% to €975 million (£866m).
In 2017, business outside of Germany rose to 71% of turnover, up from 69% seen a year earlier.
Throughout the year, €116m were invested in products, plant and buildings worldwide.
The company has a tradition of not reporting specific operating figures but said results came under pressure due to cost increases.
“Although turnover grew substantially last year, the operating result came under particular pressure from the sharp rise in material costs. The latest wage agreement in the metal industry is putting significant further pressure on costs and earnings,” said Dr Andreas Hettich, managing partner and chairman of the management board.
