Moores celebrates 70 years and commits to strong growth

Kitchen manufacturer Moores is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year with a “strong growth strategy”.

As well as investing in its management team and processes, the company has unveiled new products, which include a high-end kitchen created in partnership with Michelin-starred chef Michel Roux Jnr and taps, sinks and hot water taps manufacturer Roux Lifestyle.

“We have made a significant investment as we approach our 70th year of business. We have put in place a strong management team, a clear focus, robust processes, new and contemporary products and best-in-class customer service,” said Moores chief executive Steve Parkin (pictured). “One of our advantages, as a British KBB supplier, is we have control of all aspects of the process: design, manufacture, assembly, delivery and after care. All this ensures delivery excellence through focused, collaborative management, which is setting the bar at a new level. We are extremely proud of our 70-year heritage and our ambition is to play a lead role in all the areas that are important to our customers: quality, sustainability, value and customer service.”

Moores manufactures all of its furniture ranges in its 600,000sq ft factory in Wetherby, West Yorkshire.

“The Roux Kitchen is a truly premium, bespoke offering for the independent kitchen retailer and premium developer in the UK,” explained marketing director Michael Barrett. “It has resulted from extensive collaboration between a large-scale kitchen manufacturer and a world-renowned professional chef. For specialist kitchen retailers who seek to offer something exceptional, this British-made kitchen will impress the most discerning customers.”

“We are looking ahead to an exciting future with our retail partners, suppliers and builders,” added Parkin. “Our investment in the future of Moores and our commitment to growth and excellence will allow us to continue to deliver a best in class experience to all our customers.”
