| West One explains liquidation | |
| 26 April 2008 West One Bathrooms, the luxury bathroom retailer with seven showrooms across London and the South East, has hit back at press reports that imply the company is going bust. The West One Bathrooms Group, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, has confirmed that a division of the company, West One Bathrooms (Mayfair) Ltd, is in liquidation but says it is voluntary and solvent. "[It] is merely being wound up as a solvent company in a group restructuring exercise and has been placed into voluntary liquidation," said head of marketing Nagina Waters i(pictured) n a statement. "All creditors have been paid in full. "West One Bathrooms Ltd continues to trade and is unaffected by this - indeed it continues to trade strongly from its London base and its other seven retail outlets." West One's London showrooms are in some of the most sought after areas of the city, Mayfair, Knightsbridge, Battersea, Wandsworth and a concession in department store Selfridges. Its other showrooms are in East Sussex and Tunbridge Wells in Kent. | |
