Another spectacular year for the kbbreview Industry Awards

The best designers and retailers in the kitchen and bathroom industry have been revealed at the gala kbbreview Industry Awards event.

Over 800 people gathered at the Hilton Metropole in Birmingham alongside the kbb Birmingham exhibition for the biggest night in the industry calendar.

Host Hugh Dennis (pictured above) helped give out 18 awards for categories covering design projects for domestic and contract customers, as well as best showroom and Master Retailer.

The 2010 Master Retailer Award forKitchens was Kitchen Architecture in Putney, London and their fellow winner in bathrooms was The Yard in Belfast.

And Nick Hopkinson from Mark Twodistributors, known to the industry as 'Hoppy', was given the Special Achievement Award 2010 for his contribution to the industry as well as his remarkable charity fund raising activities.

Dominique McLaughlin from James JamesKitchens in Cheshire, who won the 'Designer Award for Kitchens: project cost up to £25,000' category, said: "I am absolutely ecstatic to have won this award. It was a very emotional moment for both me and my mother, who owns James James Kitchens, and there were lots of tears.

"We are only a small company and have worked very hard so to be recognised by other professionals is a big achievement. It is a huge accolade."

Helen Scott, managing director of TheYard, Belfast, said: "In such challenging times it is so rewarding for our team to have the industry's recognition. The entrants' standards continue to rise and the judges have high standards.

"Third party accreditation by such an esteemed panel gives our potential customers confidence in our abilities and also reflects the quality of suppliers who support us, the majority of whom have been with us for a long time. We are delighted with the award."
