Designer Award for Kitchens - project cost up to £25,000

This category rewards the skill of the kitchen designer in not just aesthetic and practical results but also their use of budget, problem solving and meeting the client's brief. This award is specifically for projects with an overall budget of up to £25,000.

Judges are looking for the way designers have managed to achieve flair and individuality while keeping within reasonable budgets, a genuine skill essential for the success of the frontline kitchen retailer. Where have they spent the money wisely to exceed expectations?

How to enter

You need to write up to 1,000 word maximum explaining your design.
Use the questions below to guide you and include as much information as possible.
Direct feedback from judges tells us that it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to include plans and projections.
The quoted project cost MUST include installation, products and, where applicable, VAT - i.e. the final total paid by the client.
You must include digital photos that show off the project and your skills as well as possible.

1. What was the full brief from the client?
2. What was the overall project cost, including installation and products, and how did you manage it and provide value for money?
3. What products and materials did you use and why? Were there any bespoke elements?
4. What problems and difficulties did you need to overcome to achieve the final goal?
5. How would you describe the final design and, in detail, the design process?
