How to enter the kbbreview Industry Awards 2010

STEP ONE Pick your categories

Choose your categories. You can enter as many as you like, but can only enter each once. In the design categories you cannot submit the same design more than once and in the business categories multiple retailers must choose one showroom (unless they're a franchisee). Use our handy guide here to help you choose which categories are right for you.

To see all the categories, click here

STEP TWO Get your pictures together

Every entry will need pictures to support them, whatever categories you’re entering. Pictures should be jpegs with a minimum 300dpi at 10cm x 10cm (if in doubt, send us the biggest size you have).

STEP THREE Write your text

You are allowed 1,000 words of text maximum to support your entry. Take a look at the guide questions on the category criteria starting here to help you. You can also look at last year’s winning entries here to see how they did it.

STEP FOUR Send it to us

At the bottom of every category you’ll find a form to fill in. Put in your details and we'll automatically send you an email. When you have your text and pictures ready, attach it to the email and send it back to us. If you would rather send it to us by post, print out the text and put the pictures on a CD or memory stick and send it to the address below. Remember to include all your contact details.

STEP FIVE Ask for help

Email awards@kbbreview.com or call 020 8515 2113 and we'll do our best to help

STEP SIX Remember the closing date

Make all your efforts count - get it to us by the closing date, midday on November 16 2009.

The Rules

Design categories
While one person can enter as many eligible categories as they like, they must enter a separate design for each one. They cannot enter the same design in different categories

Entries in all design categories (excluding Designer Award for Kitchens - Contracts & Housebuilders and Designer Award for Bathrooms - Contracts & Housebuilders) must be a domestic project completed in the 12 months from October 31 2008 to October 31 2009. Designs completed for showroom roomsets are not valid.

Stated budgets for designs must be for the completion of the entire project including installation and products including VAT i.e. the final total bill paid by the client.

Business categories
Only one entry is required to enter both the Showroom Award and the Master Retailer Awards. If a retailer enters one, they are automatically considered for the other. This is purely to make the entry process easier as the same details are often used in both

Retailers with multiple showrooms must choose one, and only one, to enter as the Master Retailer and Showroom of the Year. They cannot enter the entire company as one retailer and cannot enter multiple showrooms individually. This rule excludes franchisees who, as independent businesses, can enter individually.

Copyright and confidentiality
Entry materials will be used in issues of kbbreview and on kbbreview.com as well as during the ceremony and in event promotional material. Copyright clearance for these uses should be secured before including video, stills or other material in support of your entry.
