Young Designer Award for Kitchens - age 25 and under

This category rewards designers under the age of 25 for showing their existing skills and future promise in aesthetic results, but also their potential in managing budgets, solving problems and meeting and exceeding the client's brief.

With young designers judges want to know that clients are getting value for money and great kitchens despite their young age - however, they also want to see flair and potential with innovations and unique solutions that demonstrate the entrant is one to watch.

To qualify for this category you must be aged 25 or under on the closing date of November 16th, 2009.

How to enter

You need to write up to 1,000 word maximum explaining your design.
Use the questions below to guide you and include as much information as possible.
Direct feedback from judges tells us that it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to include plans and projections.
The quoted project cost MUST include installation, products and, where applicable, VAT - i.e. the final total paid by the client.
You must include digital photos that show off the project and your skills as well as possible.

1. What was the full brief from the client?
2. What was the overall project cost, including installation and products, and how did you manage it and provide value for money?
3. What products and materials did you use and why? Were there any bespoke elements?
4. What problems and difficulties did you need to overcome to achieve the final goal?
5. How would you describe the final design and, in detail, the design process?
