PROJECT COST: £19,336

The brief:

Allan’s client was a local house builder specialising in one-off bespoke oak frame homes. He wanted a kitchen to blend in with the exposed oak frame inside the house and also, as it had not yet been sold, it had to appeal to a broad range of clients who would be interested in buying the finished house. My client had no set layout for the kitchen but wanted contemporary design, eye-level ovens and a quality worktop. The client envisaged that the kitchen would be the focal point of the house therefore it was vital it reflected the high standard of design, product and finish evident throughout the rest of the development.

PROJECT COST: £60,000

The brief:

Darren’s brief was to design a kitchen that would enhance the client’s profile within the local kitchen industry enabling them to gain a strong foothold in the high end of the market and attract more affluent clientele. The client also wanted to sell the finished kitchen as a complete lifestyle concept. The kitchen design was to be used initially at a trade show and then refitted into the client’s showroom straight after the show, so it needed to be easily transferable between the two locations and sophisticated enough to facilitate the client’s movement into a highly competitive market.

PROJECT COST: £124,000 PLUS VAT

The brief:

Upper Phillimore Gardens in London’s Kensington lies directly adjacent to Holland Park and is one of the most prestigious addresses in the country. The project involved the complete refurbishment of a large seven-storey stucco fronted London residence arranged over seven floors. The kitchen was at the front of the property and therefore the immediate impact and tone would be set by what was encountered in the very first room. As the client was not going to be the end user, he did not specify whether he wanted dark or light finishes, Corian or stone, or painted or wood finishes.

PROJECT COST: £9,000 EX VAT FOR REFURBISHED APARTMENTS

The brief:

Barnsbury Place is a prestigious collection of town houses and apartments set amid the grounds of an Edwardian school in one of the most desirable quarters of London’s Islington. It is made up of 94 refurbished apartments, nine new build town houses and 15 new build apartments. Suna was commissioned by Mount Anvil plc to work on the internal specification for all three types of accommodation. Each design had to appeal to its specific market but it was important that they had their own identity.
