What Nicole says:
“This room was the master en suite so I opted for a double basin unit with lots of storage. I wanted the unit to be the main feature of the room but also remain loyal to the brief by keeping it clean cut and linear. The ‘ark’ unit let me do just that. I loved how the unit had no visible handles, and I decided to go for the white glass fronts and black glass worktop as I wanted the main splash of colour to be the tiles on the wall.”
Nicole’s clients, Mr and Mrs Boylan, had just purchased the upper floor of a large Glasgow property located in the stylish West End when they approached Nicole. The entire property was undergoing complete refurbishment and in the bathroom the clients specifically asked for something contemporary to contrast with the traditional elements of the house. The clients specifically said that they did not want curves within the space and the room had to be linear with the use of right angles. They also wanted a bold use of colour that was clearly evident once the door had been opened.
