What Nicole says:

“This room was the master en suite so I opted for a double basin unit with lots of storage. I wanted the unit to be the main feature of the room but also remain loyal to the brief by keeping it clean cut and linear. The ‘ark’ unit let me do just that. I loved how the unit had no visible handles, and I decided to go for the white glass fronts and black glass worktop as I wanted the main splash of colour to be the tiles on the wall.”

The brief:

Nicole’s clients, Mr and Mrs Boylan, had just purchased the upper floor of a large Glasgow property located in the stylish West End when they approached Nicole. The entire property was undergoing complete refurbishment and in the bathroom the clients specifically asked for something contemporary to contrast with the traditional elements of the house. The clients specifically said that they did not want curves within the space and the room had to be linear with the use of right angles. They also wanted a bold use of colour that was clearly evident once the door had been opened.

The brief:

Shelley’s clients’ home is located on the Isle of Wight. Her clients visited the Exclusively of Bath showroom and fell in love with two of the more unusual wet-room displays - one circular and the other a double-ended walk-through option. Shelley’s brief was to produce designs based around these two options and balance the couple’s conflicting opinions on contemporary versus traditional design. Shelley was also asked to be mindful of advancing age and to plan for future requirements such as easy access, a shower seat and anything else to make life easier for the couple in the future.

The brief:

Kirsten’s clients Penny and Terry Stefani, were clear from the beginning that they wanted their new bathroom to be a ‘luxurious space’ for the entire family to use. They had decided to knock several rooms together in order to achieve the space required. The clients specified that the new bathroom should include a ‘decent’ shower and double basins. However, they also expressed a need for long soaks in the bath. In fact, Penny had already chosen the Amalfi slipper bath from Victoria & Albert and Kirsten used this as the centerpiece of the design.

PROJECT COST: £24,930

The brief:

Mr and Mrs Harrison, a professional couple, had gradually been renovating their property since their children had left home. They had completed the downstairs and were moving upstairs, starting with their master suite - including an en-suite bathroom. The functional aspects of the room they required included getting rid of the bath and creating a very luxurious large shower - with a wet floor. The previous bathroom also had a bidet that was never used so this created additional space. Mrs Harrison disliked the current basin unit as it was large but impractical.
