Belling has made induction technology more accessible to the mass market with the launch of its revolutionary FSE60i A rated multifunction double oven with fourzone induction hotplate. By improving manufacturing methods in its UK factory, Belling has been able to apply the highly energy-efficient technology of induction to a freestanding cooker, a UK first in the freestanding category, while keeping the price point within reach of its core customer base. |
Hotpoint has created energyefficient direct flame technology, for its top-of-the-range Luce gas hobs. This clever technology uses dozens of tiny holes that allow the flame to rise vertically, reducing heat loss. Its flat design also reduces the distance between the hob and pan by up to 15mm which helps to direct the heat to the pan making sure the heat is more evenly distributed. This direct flame technology can increase energy efficiency by up to 20%, according to the company. |
Liebherr has strengthened its eco credentials with the introduction of its A++ CBNPgb3956 fridge freezer. State of the art electronic controls and optimised refrigeration components help this model function around 60% more efficiently than A rated models. Other benefits include fans that switch off automatically when the doors are opened to keep the cold air in the freezer and drawers that are closed on all sides, designed to reduce the amount of cold air losses. |
