"The kbbreview Kitchen Conference 2010 is the first of its kind and, we hope, the start of a much needed annual event for the UK kitchen industry.
"This sector, like so many others, is going through a period of unprecedented change in how business is done in a post-recession world. What consumers want, and how they want to buy it, is in a state of flux and only by working together across all parts of the industry can everyone get a better understanding of what actions they need to take.
"This industry desperately needs an opportunity to get together and discuss issues that affect everyone, whether they work in retail, distribution, furniture, appliances, worktops, sinks, taps or anything else that comes under the UK kitchen umbrella. Working together the kitchen market should have the clout to tackle the problems and issues it faces and, equally, to capitalise on the market advantages a collected industry can identify. But sadly it doesn't have any kind of unified approach.
"So here at kbbreview we've decided to take one small step towards getting everyone together in one venue, to highlight some key issues and to discuss and debate them in a useful forum. We hope you'll play your part and join us."
