This awards are given out to manufacturers who, by the development of a specific product, have shown themselves to be actively moving forward the field of environmental consideration within the respective bathroom industries.

 

For instance, in the bathroom a new product that reduces water consumption without limiting the consumer's experience. However, the awards are called 'Environmental Innovation' for a reason and any new developments are eligible to enter.

 

However, the one stipulation is that these products must be commercially available and have been introduced to the market within the 12 months up to the entry closing date of December 1st 2008.

 

How will these awards be judged?

You need to write up to 1,000 words maximum explaining the product and exactly how and why it demonstrates environmental innovation.

 

Use the three questions below as a guide as you need to include as much information as possible. The judges will pick four finalists and an eventual winner that will be announced on the awards night.

 

You will also need to include digital photos that show off the product.

 

1. What is the product's function? Describe its development.

 

2. What exactly are the key environmental innovations that make this product something new to the market?

 

3. When did it first become commercially available?
