Homestyle sponsors Deaf Football Men’s team

Sink and tap distributor Homestyle has sponsored a player in the Great Britain Deaf Football Men’s team.

Calum Thompson (pictured), 24, has been selected to play for the team in the World Cup 2016 after gaining his first cap playing in a Deaflympics qualifier 2017 for GB against Hungary, winning 2-1 and winning the ‘Man of the Match’ award.

The Deaf World Cup will take place near Naples in Italy from June 19 to July 2 2016.

The GB Deaf Football is self-funded and doesn’t receive any help or support from the Football Association or the Government. All coaches, managers and physiotherapists who work with the team are volunteers.

Full details can be found on the 2016 Deaf World Cup website.
