Hoover appoints new marketing director for built-in

Hoover Candy Group has appointed Juan Pillay as marketing director for built-in appliances.

Based at the company’s operation in Reading, Berkshire, Pillay will have overall responsibility for product launches and market development, working with the existing team to meet the business objectives outlined in the group’s 20:20 Vision strategy.

With industry experience spanning 15 years, across freestanding and built-in categories, Pillay brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills, including product marketing, trade marketing and business planning. He has held previous positions at companies including Whirlpool, BSH and Samsung.

Commenting on his appointment, Pillay said: “Hoover is an innovative business, which is on an exciting journey.

“With ambitious plans to become the ‘supplier of choice’, the company has a well-defined strategy for growth and a very strong pipeline of products for the coming years, so I’m really pleased to have joined at such a vital juncture.

“Even though Hoover was established more than a century ago, it’s never rested on its laurels and I’m really looking forward to taking the progressive business forward.”
