Mereway product development manager dies

Bathroom and kitchen manufacturer Mereway has announced the death of in-house designer and senior product development manager Ian Robinson.

Robinson (pictured), 65, died suddenly at home last weekend.

The company described Robinson as “well-liked” and said he will be “greatly missed”.

Mereway said his sharp eye and attention to detail had been responsible for the success of most of its best-selling ranges over the past 20 years.

Robinson started his career with kitchen manufacturer Hygena, where he helped to launch the first flat-pack kitchen range in the UK.

Joint Mereway managing director Bob Norris said: “The industry has lost one of its best designers and he will be greatly missed by his many colleagues and friends.”

The family request that any donations are made to the British Heart Foundation, which can be done via a Gift of Hope page that has been established on the BHF website (see link below).
