Roman voted one of UK’s most inspiring companies

County Durham-based shower manufacturer Roman has been recognised as one of the London Stock Exchange’s 1,000 Companies to Inspire Britain.

The report celebrates the UK’s fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium-sized businesses. Companies are recognised for their capacity to “innovate and create new jobs” and helping to drive the UK economy.

Businesses included in the report have to meet a selection of criteria, these include being UK registered and active, having revenues between £5 million and £250m based on the latest Companies House filings, and with a minimum of three years’ trading. They are also required to show consistent revenue growth over a minimum of three years and to have outperformed their peers.

Chancellor George Osborne said: “UK high-growth businesses are leading the charge in rebuilding our economy. These companies are the backbone of the British economy. They create high quality, well-paid jobs, innovate and drive economic growth.”

Roman managing director David Osborne said: “I think my namesake has said it all. We are very proud to be recognised by the London Stock Exchange in such a way and ranked alongside so many other great companies. We are very proud of our achievements over the past 30 years, but particularly over recent years and we are now set for a period of sustained high growth.”
