Sottini on target with UK growth strategy

Ideal Standard has announced that its premium brand Sottini is on track with its performance in the UK market.

The brand, which was relaunched last September at 100% Design with new products and a ‘new vision’, now has a retail network of just over 100 dealers, which puts it on track to meet its target of 160 by the end of the year.

According to head of product at Ideal Standard Leanne Martin (pictured), the brand has been well received within the retail and specification markets and had doubled its sales compared with the same period last year.

Speaking during Clerkenwell Design Week, Martin said: “Sottini was always a popular brand within the retail environment. Even though it wasn’t widely displayed or overly sold, there was a real affection for it and people have taken to the new look of the brand really well.

“We have more than 100 retailers in the UK, with over 300 products on display, so the brand is getting more prominent. Our target for the first year was 160 retailers so, within the first six months, we’re on track with how we wanted the brand to be performing in the market.”

Martin added that the brand was also doing well in the specification market and had won regional contracts with Cameron Homes and The Park Regis Hotel in Birmingham.

A number of new Sottini product launches are in the pipeline for next year.
