Symphony wins regional energy efficiency award

Symphony has won this years’ regional EEF/Aldermore Future Manufacturing Environmental Efficiency award.

The Barnsley-based fitted kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture manufacturer, which employs more than 1,300 staff, was recognised for its ‘impressive and innovative efforts around boosting environmental performance’.

A panel of judges comprising of business leaders, industry experts and academics chose the company from a range of businesses across the UK.

Symphony said it now plans to compete for the national title in January 2016.

“This award is down to our team’s hard work and dedication, and we are delighted to have been recognised in this way,” said Symphony Group head of marketing Robert Newton. “Not only does it demonstrate the valuable contribution made by local manufacturers like ourselves, but it also puts us on the map as a modern and innovative company. This is great news for us to share with all our staff, customers and suppliers.

“It’s fantastic to get this far and now we’re all looking forward to the national finals in January to see how we measure up against other leading manufacturers from across the UK.”
