Tile Mountain opens new HQ

Tile Mountain has officially opened its new £10 million purpose-built head office and distribution centre in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent.

The headquarters was opened last week at a ribbon cutting ceremony that was attended by eighty guests and conducted by the chairman of Stoke City football club Peter Coates (pictured right).

The new HQ is set in a previously derelict five acre site and comprises of a 109,000sq ft warehouse and office block, a 7,5000sq ft showroom and a 2,000sq ft mezzanine.

The move will also create a further 70 plus jobs over the next three years.

Jeremy Harris (centre), managing director of Tile Mountain, said: “This is a momentous occasion in the history of the firm and the opening of this new, state-of-the-art facility is a statement of our ambitions as a company. The phenomenal growth Tile Mountain has experienced since its inception saw it quickly outgrew the old site, meaning that a new distribution hub and administrative nerve centre was required.

“Just over a year after the initial plans were submitted and we’re here. It’s a fantastic building – we’ve committed to create 70 jobs at this site over the next three years and believe that the complex is a fitting home to both the Tile Mountain brand and its expanding workforce.”

Mo Iqbal (left), chairman of Tile Mountain, commented: “Tile Mountain has been a labour of love for those behind the venture and today really is the culmination of years of hard work. We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve been able to achieve in the four years we’ve been trading and the fact that we’ve been able to invest £10m in this 120,000sq ft warehouse, showroom, and office complex is testament to the incredible growth we’ve enjoyed.

“It’s great to see a brownfield site such as this rejuvenated and we’re confident our presence will prove a catalyst to further regeneration, not just in the Ceramics Valley Enterprise Zone but in Stoke-on-Trent as a whole.”
