Vado Rally raises over £90,000

kbbreview has successfully completed the Vado Rally 2018 – a madcap four-day drive from Dover to Copenhagen in fancy dress and wacky car designs.

The stunt raised money for the Rainy Day Trust and Variety, the children’s charity, and 22 teams signed up to take part between June 7 and 10.

The rally had raised £90,322, smashing the 2016 total of just over £65,000. Donations can be made right up to the end of July.

The route took in a ferry from Dover, then to Copenhagen via France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Sweden.

The kbbreview team, made up of sales and marketing manager Tara McTigue, Kitchens Bedrooms & Bathrooms editor Lindsay Blair, account manager Henesh Chotai and events executive Deanna O’Reilly, updated their progress on social media and through a daily blog.

“The trip was pretty full, on but the team and I enjoyed every minute,” said McTigue. “From driving into a bollard, to getting ‘papped’ on the ferry dressed as Vikings, it all added to the experience. The best bit was raising so much money for charity and people coming together to support us. I’d just like to take this opportunity to thank Vado for inviting us, and for organising such a well thought out trip.”

The team has received support from some top industry brands including Blum, Uform, HPP, JT, Rotpunkt, Schuller, Virtual Worlds, Geberit, The 1810 Company, Masterclass, Hoover, Novellini, Franke, Karonia, Articad, InSinkErator, KBB Show, Nobillia and Taylist Media.
