Waterline becomes exclusive distributor for KitchenAid MDA

Appliance manufacturer KitchenAid has announced an exclusive partnership with distributor Waterline.

Effective from July 1, Waterline will take over as sole distributor for all KitchenAid major domestic appliance (MDA) products in the UK.

KitchenAid said the partnership would support its “ambitious” growth targets by creating significant opportunities in terms of scale.

Marco Merolla, head of KitchenAid MDA for EMEA, commented: “This deal is a significant step for KitchenAid in the UK as we look to expand the reach of our major appliances range. Waterline offers impressive credentials within the market and we believe that the business offers us the best partnership opportunity for our strong portfolio of products.

“We are confident that this agreement will give us the opportunity to build on our previous success and extend the reach of the KitchenAid major domestic appliance offering.”

Waterline sales director Rob Taylor added: “We are constantly developing our offering to ensure our customers have unrivalled access to the latest brands that meet consumer needs within the category. KitchenAid is a fantastic addition to this portfolio; synonymous within the industry, it sets the style standard with its design-led appliance collection.”

Barry Head, Waterline managing director, concluded: “We are delighted to be working exclusively with KitchenAid to further enhance our comprehensive furniture and appliance portfolio. Established for over 30 years in the KBB sector, our continual focus is to deliver the latest innovations and provide a versatile product mix for our retailers.”
