Women Installers Together Conference is a ‘huge’ success

Stopcocks Women Plumbers has gathered together over 100 female bathroom fitters for the second annual Women Installers Together Conference.

It is estimated only 1% of UK installers are female and the event was created to encourage and motivate more women in the bathroom industry.

The conference is in its second year after the success of the first conference in September 2017. The event was organised by Stopcocks founder Hattie Hasan and her team.

Hasan said: “We believe this really is the beginning of a massive change in attitude which will be great for the industry as a whole.”

The event centred around talks given by Jazz Wilson, a relationship management specialist, Anna Hemmings – MBE and Olympian, and was headlined by Hasan. In addition to scheduled talks, the attendees took the opportunity to network with fellow delegates and meet a selection of carefully chosen industry sponsors.

The event was sponsored by: Polypipe Trade, Graham, the plumbers’ merchant, Kier, Redrow, Fernox, Vaillant, Impey Showers, Calor Installer, Monument Tools, and Base Protection.

Shaun Hunt, Impey’s technical manager said: “We are incredibly pleased to have supported the 2018 Women Installers Together Conference. It’s our first time at the event and we were extremely impressed: it was modern, refreshing and a huge success.”
