Sales Designer – Fulham and Guilford

Roundhouse are looking for Sales Designers to work in our Fulham and Guildford showrooms

Founded over 20 years ago by architects, Roundhouse is a multi-award-winning British company. We create beautiful, bespoke kitchens and furniture. Our designs feature a signature, understated aesthetic, influenced by contemporary architecture and design, using innovative materials, texture and colour.  We will be looking for candidates to add value to our committed workforce

Candidates should have experience in both sales and design, although not necessarily in the kitchen industry, you need to have a technical understanding of product design and be able to use appropriate drawing software

Potential OTE are 50-60K/year

Main Duties include:

  • Be an ambassador for Roundhouse and effectively promote the brand & product. Negotiate sales and demonstrate an excellent standard of customer care and service
  • Be an effective salesperson experienced and articulate, with a professional approach. Be an excellent communicator, be friendly, personable, and approachable.
    • Prepare and manage effective meetings with customers execute and coordinate the sale of the kitchen
    • Create and maintain your own individual lead database and follow up all leads
  • Be a good designer – creative with a strong design ability, be aware of contemporary design and current trends, be able to listen carefully to the customers’ requirements.
    • Obtain and translate information from customers to enable the designs to be tailored to them
    • Interpret customers ideas and designs and build a relationship with the customer, prepare drawings and costings
  • Be an able and accurate technician focused, self-motivated and hardworking, thorough and conscientious. Have technical ability and be willing to learn
    • Arrange and attend final survey meetings with the Surveyor and customer
    • Prepare all final design and specification documents and thoroughly check them before submission to the Technical Coordinator for issuing for manufacture
    • Issue appropriate invoices and quotations to the customer as and when necessary and make the customer aware of the required payment dates
  • Be an efficient Administrator and be able to work within a team, be organised and efficient, patient and flexible
    • Maintain and update all your job files and organise files for installation purposes.
    • Answer the telephone as necessary, take messages, take delivery of items as necessary
