South Central Area Sales Manager – Hampshire/Berkshire/Sussex/Surrey

Job Purpose

  • To promote sales of Ideal Bathrooms products and brands within the current trading base, thereby maximising sales and gross profit input through sales of the company’s products to new and existing customers.

Key Results Areas

  • Develop strong relationships with all key customers, working closely with colleagues to ensure customer relationships are managed at all levels across the business unit
  • Gain new business from potential customers and develop existing customers. Ensure every interaction with a customer is treated as an opportunity to grow the business
  • Work with multi-channel customers
  • Ensure display and sales KPIs are achieved
  • Build and maintain working relationships with customers and suppliers to ensure their commitment to Ideal Bathrooms.
  • Translate central defined supplier/business strategies into local customer sales plans and action
  • Build good relationships with existing team to ensure that agreed sales and profit margin targets are achieved within ASM budgets
  • Utilise all relevant and available technology to assist in the profitability of account management
  • Evaluate and report on all changes in the local market conditions identifying new business opportunities i.e. commercial range, product gaps, competitor activity and marketing opportunities
  • Assist the company in other areas e.g. product presentations, trade shows and other corporate events
  • Ensure that all communication is in line with all company procedures and policies
  • Work within the guidelines of the sales management system including customer records, weekly activity plans, mileage log and business expenses
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation in dress, communication and conduct at all times
  • Ensure personal product knowledge is up to date
  • Ensure that agreed sales target account activity is implemented and reviewed on a regular basis
  • Ensure all reporting systems are adhered to in content and timescales
  • Ensure area account information is kept up to date
