Sheffield Sustainable Kitchens MD Zoe Loveday chooses her favourite environmentally-friendly products at the show
Furnipart Oceanix handles
We love the new Oceanix range of sustainable handles from Furnipart. The company has embraced the increased consumer consciousness for the provenance and impact of products on the environment, and developed this new range made from recycled ocean plastics. Their sleek, minimalistic look and high-quality finish echo Furnipart’s original styles and designs.
The Bora S Pure hob is recognised by kbb 2022’s Innovation Panel as a game-changer. Its smaller size at 600W opens up Bora to a new market of clients with smaller spaces, who still want excellent quality appliances in their kitchens. This downdraft hob eliminates the need for a separate extractor fan, which in smaller kitchens, can really make the difference in introducing light and functionality into a room.
This British manufacturer creates individual basins for kitchens, bathrooms, wet rooms, and utilities and their extensive range spans the traditional to the contemporary, in shape, colour and glaze. Their ‘Made in Britain’ manufacturing capability enables retailers such as us to offer clients high-quality and long-lasting products with a lower carbon footprint and transport miles.
UK-based Showerwall creates surface solutions (not pictured) made from a moisture-resistant MDF, covered with either a laminate, or an acrylic base and come in a good range of decos. These are a highly decorative alternative to tiles, and easy to install. Manufactured in Stoke, these products have low transport miles and are covered by 10-year guarantees. We’re excited about the potential use as a kitchen splashback behind induction hobs.
Ca’ Pietra (above) is a stone and tile supplier based in Wiltshire, offering a fantastic range of tile patterns and finishes. We love their new range of National Trust inspired tiles, which we are keen to include in our designs for clients looking for botanical and nature-inspired living spaces – a major trend for 2022.
