Do you want to be part of a KBB crisis helpline?

A team of experts in the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom industries will be set up by Stephen Johnson, managing director of Quooker, which will be able to help give real-time support and guidance to companies that are struggling in these uncertain times.

The team will be made up of 10 to 12 industry leaders and they should be willing to be part of a business helpline, which will give free and practical advice or assistance to dealers and small retailers across the UK.

Johnson said on the kbbreview podcast: “What I want to do is take down the walls and barriers within the industry. There are a lot of large companies and manufacturers, like ourselves, who compete with each other. But it is a case of looking for a number of individuals in larger companies who are prepared to put some time aside and give help and guidance to retailers or even installers who are faced with a situation – through no fault of their own – and may be out of work, not have wages, be unclear of what they should do or what resources they can get from the Government.

“My idea was to set up a committee of 10 to 12 business owners or people who feel they have the experience to be able to guide businesses and people through this difficult time. It will be a free-of-charge service where we give advice and guidance across the country.”

The helpline will be completely confidential with non-disclosure agreements. It will give retailers the chance to access the knowledge and commercial expertise of industry heavyweights on a variety of issues, such as logistical, financial or staffing.”
