Aqata and Königstone return to work

Leicestershire-based shower screen manufacturer Aqata has announced its return to work following what it describes as a ‘trying time’.

The company said social distancing criteria have been met and the sales team are already taking orders.

“We are all happy to be back, especially as this month we celebrate Aqata’s birthday” said MD Jayne Barnes. “It started as a family business 34 years ago, and as the company grew the staff  have become members of our extended family. This has been a trying time, being apart from those we care about and we know things will continue to change for the foreseeable future, but we will adapt and look forward to celebrating our 35th birthday with a less socially distanced celebration.”

Founded in 1986 Aqata is a family owned company with models designed and built to order craftsman at the company’s dedicated factory in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

Worktop and surface specialist Königstone, is also up and running with, the company says, a full order book.  The company’s fabrication partner, Midland Stone Centre, also has manufacturing facilities back at 100% capacity.

Joanne Bull, marketing manager, said: “After a necessary shutdown, in order to support the national effort, we are delighted to be back up and running. Now, as our customer base opens up with confidence, we are looking forward to helping in the design of stunning kitchen spaces with our comprehensive range which has something for everyone.”
