Blanco tap gets Wras approval

The Envoy range of kitchen mixer taps from German sinks and taps manufacturer Blanco has gained approval by water regulations advisory scheme Wras.

Wras work with water companies across the UK to ensure safe, resilient water supplies and tests products to ensure that they are compliant with relevant regulations.

Blanco says that the Envoy tap range has a six-litre regulated flow system that also saves water.

The manufacturer says that the tap offers plenty of room underneath its swan neck to fill pots and pans and delivers a high-pressure supply while also saving water.

Blanco also adds that the tap is suitable for use by house builders and contractors, as – according to Wras – it “checks the testing of thousands of water fittings products to ensure they comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations and Scottish Byelaws. A WRAS approval demonstrates that a product is of a suitable quality and standard when installed correctly.”

Blanco was founded 90 years ago, has more than 1,500 employees worldwide and annual sales of around €395 million (£351m) and has a presence in around 100 countries worldwide.
