Bling it on! The world’s first crystal oven

Specialist oven customiser Bespoke Projects has unveiled what it says is the world’s first set of crystal-encrusted Gaggenau ovens.

The eye-catching set of Gaggenau ovens were unveiled at the Minotti Cucine showroom in London, where they remain on exclusive display, and they will set the purchaser back a cool £25,000.

This sparkling set of appliances consists of models from the Gaggenau 400 Series and includes a combination steam oven, multifunction oven and vacuum drawer – transformed with more than 84,000 crystals.

Bespoke Projects was set up back in 2018. The company skilfully dismantles the door and removes the steel panel, without having to take the door off completely. It is then customised to the client’s own specifications, whether that’s a baked lacquer metal or coloured finish, or a digitally printed vinyl wrap.

Mike Michael, founder of Bespoke Projects, told kbbreview: “With the rapidly expanding market of customisation, we felt that the consumer should not be restricted when choosing the best kitchen appliances.

“Customisation is key. Luxury is being driven by consumers becoming the designer. Brands are offering consumers more ways to stand out, as seen with Burberry Bespoke and Gucci DIY. Customers can personalise knitwear, bags and sneakers, but why stop there – personalisation should be about a lifestyle.”

Michael said that Bespoke Projects usually completes one project a month and added that it is usually an order for multiple appliances.

Its crystal ovens are on display exclusively at Minotti Cucine, but it also has customised ovens on display at The Wood Works kitchen studio in London’s Mill Hill and Point 5 Kitchens in Muswell Hill.
