Bristan gains gold award from Investors in People

Shower manufacturer Bristan has received the Gold Investors in People award.

The Investors in People scheme recognises businesses that show continued focus on the development of its staff.

Companies are assessed against a set of criteria that include working culture, employee engagement and leadership.

Bristan previously achieved Gold status in 2013, and this year, also received Platinum for the ‘Leading’ category for its “dedication to empowering people”.

Prior to this, Bristan won the Excellence in Leadership and Management award at the annual Investors in People Awards 2015.

Bristan Group chief executive Jeremy Ling (pictured) said: “It is easy to have a vision to ‘create a great place to work’ as a set of words, but the real proof of having achieved it comes from listening to the feedback of our very own people. The good news for us then is that our people have certainly spoken – loud and clear.

“The result, to go on and win this prestigious award once again, really is the highest acknowledgement of the importance we place on our people. More so, to be awarded Gold overall, with Platinum in ‘Leading’ and Gold for ‘Improving and Supporting’ not only makes us immensely proud, but puts us in an elite group. Only 2% of the 30,000 international companies are awarded this standard.”

Investors in People auditor Tony Walmsley said: “The attainment of the Gold Award reflects a tremendous achievement. Bristan Group continues to go above and beyond when it comes to its dedication to empowering its people, which makes it a truly outstanding business and a great example of what Investors in People is all about.”
