New president for Bathroom Manufacturers Association

Members of the Bathroom Manufacturers Association have elected Ideal Standard’s business director John Robinson as president of the organisation for the next two years.

Robinson takes over from Roca UK managing director Alan Dodds.

The election took place during the association’s annual general meeting, which was held remotely online for the first time due to the covid-19 lockdown. Jason Parker, managing director of Thomas Dudley becomes BMA’s first vice-president and Jason Smith, chief commercial officer of Bristan becomes second vice-president.

John Robinson said: “I’m looking forward to continuing my work with the BMA and taking on this role. It has been many years since a member from the Ideal Standard business has had the privilege of being in this position. I am honoured to have been confirmed, and humbled that my peers in both our business and the industry consider me worthy of this appointment”.

Tom Reynolds, BMA’s chief executive added: “John is a well-known and respected figure in the bathroom industry who I’m looking forward to working closely with as president. Along with Jason Parker and Jason Smith, we are lucky to have such a strong presidential team that will ensure the association continues to deliver value for members and be the voice of the industry. I want to pay tribute to our outgoing president, Alan Dodds, who has done a tremendous job in leading the association through some tumultuous times.”
