Reginox celebrates 20 years in the UK

Dutch-based sinks, taps and accessories maker Reginox is celebrating its 20th year in the UK this month.

The UK operation was set up in 1999 and over the past 20 years has steadily increased sales and extended its product range to more than 150 sinks and 60 taps. Reginox was founded in Holland in 1976.

Reginox UK now has a customer base that includes retail, merchants, kitchen manufacturers, distribution and house builders. The company says that it is on target to hit a turnover of £7 million in the current financial year.

Although steel products remain at the core – around 70% – of the company’s product line-up, it has expanded its portfolio to include composite granite and ceramic sinks, as well as work surfaces.

Reginox won a Red Dot award in 2009 for its Texas sinks, which were the world’s first fully pressed 10mm radius sinks.

In 2015, it claimed another first for the sinks industry with the introduction of its range of RegiColor coloured stainless steel sinks.

It again won a Red Dot award in 2016 for its Panama space-saving syphon waste system.

To mark its 20th anniversary in the UK, Reginox is taking all of the UK team to Amsterdam for two days in December, and has also launched a new, updated logo.

Dave Mayer, sales and marketing director of Reginox UK (right of sign in picture above, with Reginox UK sales office MD Gerrit Smit on left), commented: “We are immensely proud of the Reginox UK success story. Our founding office in the UK was tiny, manned by minimal staff and offered a range of just 30 stainless steel sinks and five taps. We grew rapidly and, by 2004, we had relocated to 17,000sq ft premises in Congleton, South Cheshire, and expanded our collection to 100 sinks, including steel, granite composite and ceramic designs.

“With a change of management structure, business growth began to accelerate rapidly and, with the introduction of additional taps and waste disposal units to our range, we were well on the way to becoming a genuine one-stop solution.”

Mayer added: “During the past 20 years the business has achieved consistent and steady growth due to strong commercial management, our parent company’s commitment to ongoing investment in advanced manufacturing techniques and a willingness to be flexible in meeting customers’ needs.

“Reginox has always achieved the right balance between practicality and design, and we constantly listen to our customers’ requirements. I believe that all these factors have ensured our continued success and have made Reginox UK the company it is today.”

He concluded: “We are delighted to be celebrating this important milestone in Reginox’s history and would like to thank all of our customers and suppliers for their ongoing support.”
