Roman reveals latest commitment to sustainability

Roman

British shower manufacturer Roman has replaced all company cars with fully electric models in a bid to further reduce its environmental impact.

Electric charging points for all cars have also been installed at its HQ in County Durham.

In a statement about the investment, the company – which has been strengthening its environmental credentials for 10 years – said that the introduction of electric cars was the stage in its journey to becoming Carbon Zero. Roman achieved Carbon Neutral status in 2021.

David Osborne, CEO, Roman, commented: “Moving all company cars to fully electric was the next step on our environmental journey, with the long-term goal of becoming Carbon Zero. As the leading British Shower Enclosure Manufacturer, we give huge focus to sustainability and further breakthroughs will be coming over the next few years.”

The company’s other sustainable credentials include the use of 100% recycled aluminium and brass in its production processes and the introduction of fully recyclable packaging. The company says it is also working closely with glass suppliers with a view to only using 100% recycled content in 2024.
