Rotpunkt in finals of sustainability category at construction awards

German kitchen maker Rotpunkt has made it to the finals of the London Construction Awards in the Excellence in Sustainability (Product) category.

Judges recognised Rotpunkt’s Together to Zero climate strategy, which pioneers its Greenline BioBoard Gen 2 furniture and a portfolio where 95% of kitchens are FSC-certified.

The winners will be announced this month at the Leonardo Royal London Tower Bridge Hotel.

The awards celebrate achievements, developments and innovation across London’s construction industry and are judged by a panel of industry experts.

Rotpunkt head of UK operations Matt Phillips said: “We are so excited that our company has been recognised for our efforts in sustainable kitchen design, as London explores pathways to net zero carbon by 2030. Securing a place as one of 11 finalists is a credit to the vision of the Rotpunkt family as we continue to roll-out our Together to Zero climate strategy in partnership with MyClimate.org, to help shape our future and support the 17 goals outlined by the United Nations for sustainable development. We’re looking forward to the event and wish all of this year’s finalists the very best of luck!”

Rotpunkt’s Together to Zero focuses on steady and sustainable growth. The Greenline BioBoard Gen 2 is made by Pfleiderer Deutschland and consists of up to 90% recycled wood. It is said to pass the F4 star standard for formaldehyde emissions – 50% less compared with conventional chipboard.
