Whirlpool UK pledges continued support for Sue Ryder hospices

Whirlpool UK has announced that it is continuing its support for the Sue Ryder charity.

Whirlpool UK Appliances Limited, parent company of KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Hotpoint and Indesit, has confirmed that it has extended its support for the charity that has been providing specialist palliative care and support for people with neurological conditions for the past 65 years.

The company has supported the Sue Ryder Thorpe Hall Hospice by raising funds with summer sales and has donated a large number of appliances to the Leckhampton Court Hospice in Cheltenham and to four of Sue Ryder’s neurological care centres.

Employees at Whirlpool UK’s headquarters in Peterborough were due to take part in the Peterborough Dragon Boat Festival, which was scheduled for June but was cancelled because of the coronavirus pandemic. But the company still provided much-needed financial assistance to the Thorpe Hall Hospice during the pandemic.

This support will help us to continue to be there for our patients when it matters most.”
