AEG sponsors kbbreview Retail & Design Awards 2020

AEG is the sponsor of the Kitchen Designer of the Year: project cost over £30,000 – £50,000 category at the 2020 kbbreview Retail & Design Awards.

We sat down to talk to Hannah Groves, AEG’s senior customer marketing manager, kitchen channel, to find out why the company has supported the awards.

Why are the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards important to the KBB industry?

The awards provide an annual focal point for the industry, recognise best-in-class examples of great design, excellence in retail and strong customer service. From a brand perspective, this is a platform for the kitchen showroom retailer to recognise their employees and seek recognition for them within the industry.

Broadly speaking, the event is a platform that enables the industry to celebrate its stars – those people delivering excellence in their field of expertise. When amplified, the award wins help inspire consumer confidence and provide a USP for retailers, helping set them apart from their competition.

Why is AEG sponsoring the ‘Kitchen Designer of the Year: project cost £30,000 – £50,000’ award?

It’s vitally important for AEG to play a pivotal part in the award. As a brand, we want to share in the success of the independent kitchen showroom retail community.

In sponsoring this category, as a business we learn how the quality of kitchen design is evolving year on year. In addition, the award sponsorship aligns AEG’s premium appliance range with exceptional kitchen design. The launch of AEG’s new matt black range holds particular relevance this year as it supports this segment of the market.

In what ways does AEG support or work with kitchen retailers?

AEG has a bespoke Premier Partner programme, which is tailored to the need of independent kitchen retailers. We understand that exclusivity and service are essential to ensure our retailers retain relevancy and a niche within their local area. Benefits of the programme include five-year parts warranties, exclusive products, priority service, and dedicated marketing support and investment.

What is the significance and what role do you think kbbreview plays in the KBB industry?

kbbreview is a window for the industry, providing industry news and establishing best practice, identifying industry trends and initiating debate. It is a platform for thought-provoking content and allows kitchen retailers to have a voice within the industry. Ultimately, we see kbbreview as a vehicle for our brands to reach a highly relevant audience.

Is there anything you want to say about your working relationship with kbbreview?

AEG holds a great working relationship with kbbreview – they are a real partner and vehicle to deliver our message in a way that is both insightful and engaging for the industry and independent kitchen showroom retail network. AEG has worked closely with them during the lead up to KBB 2020 and they’ve been really responsive, agile and understanding of our objectives.
